Petra Plestenjak Podlogar is today the only master craftsman in making wooden moulds for the Škofja Loka little bread. The centuries-old tradition of producing moulds and baking these “little breads” in the Škofja Loka area was introduced in the early 18th century by nuns of the order of Saint Clare. Today, Petra continues and upgrades this tradition using her own designs and patterns and, in doing so, intertwines rich tradition with modernity. Besides moulds, she also makes new products, such as bookmarks, pendants and carvings on furniture.
